Simone Williams is a self-taught mixed media artist originally from Kingston, Jamaica. After migrating to Florida in 2014 and later settling in Maryland in 2015, she continued to nurture the creative passion she has carried since the age of seven.
Her work spans drawing, painting, digital illustration, photography, handmade crochet design, fashion, and makeup artistry all rooted in storytelling and self-expression.
In 2009, Simone received certified training in fashion design from GARMEX Heart Academy in Jamaica. She later studied skin care at Margate School of Beauty in Florida in 2014. In 2016, she taught herself how to paint, expanding her artistic language through color and emotion.
In 2023, Simone began teaching herself digital illustration on Procreate, allowing her to translate her traditional artwork into the digital space and reach new creative dimensions.
In December 2025, while recovering from Abdominal Myomectomy surgery, she relearned the art of crochet as a form of therapy and healing. What began as a quiet moment of recovery quickly became a renewed passion evolving into handcrafted pieces that merge comfort, culture, and creativity.
Simone’s work is deeply inspired by her personal life experiences and challenges. Her art explores themes of beauty, self-healing, self-care, and urban culture. Much of her work celebrates the strength, softness, and divine essence of women of African descent.
Through both fine art and handmade design, Simone creates pieces that inspire confidence, reflection, and empowerment.
